Malo selo is a small family owned restaurant that has been offering typical Istrian cuisine to its guests for over 30 years. The restaurant is owned by the Marušić family who founded it back in 1988.
What gives this restaurant a special charm is certainly the family atmosphere and the famous Istrian delicacies. Our pasta (pljukanci and fuži) are made in the way that our grandmothers used to make them. In Malo selo all the meat lovers can enjoy a steak of impressive size and juiciness. Many will travel for hours to try the famous aphrodisiac, '' diamond of the forrest '', also known as: truffle. This magnificent mushroom has its home in the beautiful Motovun Forest, which is only about half an hour drive from the restaurant.
Thanks to the renovation project of the old property, a 'vintage shanty' with original stone walls and a hearth has been preserved. The restaurant has two halls with a total capacity for 64 people; and on warm summer days, a garden terrace is also open.
Guests have at their disposal parking and a smaller playground for children.
If you are full of stomachs and do not drive home, your family also owns a smaller apartment in the nearby town of Kastel with a beautiful view of the Bay of Piran.
